Can you ever resist a warm bite of chocolate chip cookie? The molten chocolate inside with the sweet touch of molasses is a sure heart winner. Chocolate chip cookies are an all-time favorite, an unparalleled snack dunked in milk.

The cool tip to make your cookies super soft and chewy is to add more brown sugar. Sunehra Mineral Brown Sugar by Trust has natural molasses that adds the right amount of moisture to your cookies and gives them a caramelized flavour. The perfect blend of brown and white sugar helps the cookies to spread.

Grab the ingredients below and start baking!

-280g (2.25 cups) all-purpose flour

-170g (0.75 cup) unsalted butter

-150g (0.75 cup) Sunehra Mineral Brown Sugar by Trust

-50g (0.25 cup) Superfine Sugar by Trust

-1 large egg

-1 egg yolk

-225g (1.25 cups) chocolate chips

-1tsp baking soda

-2tsp vanilla extract

-0.5tsp salt

-1.5tsp cornstarch

Get ready for some delicious chocolate chip cookies that taste just like your grandma's!

  • Take a large bowl and mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt, together in it. Take another medium bowl and whisk melted butter, brown sugar and superfine sugar in it, until no lumps remain. Superfine Sugar by Trust mixes quickly with the batter while Sunehra Mineral Brown Sugar by Trust adds the goodness of iron, potassium, calcium and other nutrients to it. Whisk in the egg as well as egg yolk and finally mix the vanilla extract.

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients kept in the large bowl. Mix well with a large spoon until you get a soft and thick dough. Add the chocolate chips and mix them in the dough. They might not stick but try your best to combine them. Once done, cover the dough and refrigerate it mandatorily for 2-3 hours or up to 3-4 days. Overnight chilling is always recommended.

  • Preheat your oven to 163°C (325°F) and prepare the baking sheets. Remove the dough from your refrigerator and let it soften at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Take about 3 tablespoons of this dough and roll them into individual balls. For a thicker cookie, roll the dough balls to be taller rather than wide.

  • Bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes in your preheated oven. The cookies will look really soft and remain undercooked. They will continue to bake on the cookie sheet as you allow them to cool there for another 10 minutes. Your warm homemade chocolate chip cookies are ready and you can enjoy them for up to a week!

Chocolate chip cookies are a timeless classic, a perfect match for your evening coffee. Molten butter and lots of brown sugar guarantee the chewiest cookie texture. And if you want it to be chocolatier, just sprinkle some more chocolate chips. What's stopping you!
