Grab the ingredients for a pillowy delight!

  • For cake:

-433g (3.5 cups) cake flour

-1tbsp pure vanilla extract

-345g (1.5 cups) softened unsalted butter

-360ml (1.5 cups) buttermilk

-400g (2 cups) Superfine Sugar by Trust

-3 large eggs

-2 egg whites

-2tsp baking powder

-0.75tsp baking soda

-1tsp salt

  • For vanilla buttercream:

-80ml (0.75 cup) heavy cream

-1.5tsp vanilla extract

-345g (1.5 cups) softened butter

-650g (5.5 cups) Premium Icing Sugar by Trust

-pinch of salt

Whisk, bake and serve!

  • Take a medium sized bowl and mix cake flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder together. Take another large bowl and beat the butter and sugar together for 3 minutes until creamy. The fine granules of Superfine Sugar by Trust dissolves instantly to give a smooth texture. Mix in the vanilla extract, 3 eggs, and 2 egg whites for about 2 minutes until combined. Add the dry ingredients and mix then well. Whisk in the buttermilk and make sure there are no lumps left.

  • Preheat your oven to 177°C (350°F) and grease the cake pans. Pour the slightly thick batter equally into all the cake pans, depending on the number of layers you want. Bake for about 23-26 minutes or until the cakes are baked properly. Once done, cool the cakes before frosting.

  • To prepare the frosting, take a large bowl whisk the butter for 2 minutes until creamy. Add icing sugar, vanilla extract, milk, and salt and whisk for another 2 minutes. Premium Icing Sugar by Trust blends easily with the frosting and gives an enriched sweet taste. In case your frosting is too runny, add more icing sugar and if it's too thick then add more milk.

  • Time to decorate! Take a large knife and level off the tops of the cakes. Place the first cake layer on your cake stand, and cover it evenly with frosting. Top it with the second layer and cover that with frosting too! Likewise go on adding your cake layers. Once done, spread the remaining frosting all over the sides and top. Cool the cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before cutting it.

We know, an hour of waiting seems too long, especially when you can smell your rich creamy vanilla cake! But, the cooling will help the cake hold its shape while slicing.

And once it's done, what's stopping you?! Take your spoon and dip into the pillowy delight! The perfect sweet taste of the frosting due to Premium Icing Sugar by Trust will surely make your heart crave more.
